धूम्राक्षवचनं श्रुत्वा बलाध्यक्षो बलानुगः ।
बलमुद्योजयामास रावणस्याज्ञया द्रुतम् ॥६-५१-२१॥
abhiniṣkramya tadvāraṃ balādhyakṣamuvāca ha |
tvarayasva balaṃ tūrṇaṃ kiṃ cireṇa yuyutsataḥ ॥6-51-21॥
Translation
Coming out of that gate, he said to the commander of the forces: 'Hasten the army quickly! What is the use of delay for one wishing to fight?'
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस द्वार से निकलकर उसने सेनापति (बलाध्यक्ष) से कहा—'सेना को शीघ्र तैयार करो (जल्दी करो)। युद्ध की इच्छा रखने वाले (मुझ) के लिए विलंब का क्या काम?'
English Commentary
Dhumraksha displays impatience. He orders the general ('baladhyaksham') to hurry ('tvarayasva'). His rhetorical question 'Why delay?' reflects his 'yuyutsu' (belligerent/eager to fight) nature. He wants to engage the enemy immediately.

धूम्राक्ष आतुर है। वह बलाध्यक्ष को 'त्वरयस्व' (जल्दी करो) कहता है। 'युयुत्सतः' (युद्ध की इच्छा रखने वाले) के लिए देर करना असहनीय है। यह राक्षसी वृत्ति का परिचायक है—हिंसा के लिए उतावलापन।
