रथैः कवचिनस्त्वन्ये ध्वजैश्च समलङ्कृतैः ।
सुवर्णजालविहितैः खरैश्च विविधाननैः ॥६-५१-२५॥
parighairbhiṇḍipālaiśca bhallaiḥ prāsaiḥ paraśvadhaiḥ |
niryayu rākṣasā digabhyo nardanto jaladā yathā ॥6-51-25॥
Translation
...and with iron bars, slings/javelins, arrows/spears, darts, and axes. The Rakshasas went out from the directions (gates), roaring like clouds.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...तथा परिघ, भिन्दिपाल, भल्ल, प्रास और फर्शों (परश्वध) के साथ। वे राक्षस बादलों की तरह गर्जना करते हुए दिशाओं (द्वारों) से निकले।
English Commentary
More weapons: 'parigha' (iron bludgeons), 'bhindipala' (slings/short spears). The army pours out roaring like 'jalada' (rain clouds), a common metaphor for the overwhelming and ominous presence of the Rakshasa forces.

हथियारों की सूची जारी है—परिघ, भिन्दिपाल आदि। राक्षस 'जलदा यथा' (बादलों की तरह) गरजते हुए निकले। उनकी संख्या और शोर ने वातावरण को आच्छादित कर दिया। यह एक विनाशकारी आंधी के आने जैसा था।
