परिघैर्मथिताः केचिद्भिन्दिपालैर्विदारिताः ।
पट्टिशैराहताः केचिद्विह्वलन्तो गतासवः ॥६-५२-२०॥
prāsaīḥ pramathitāḥ kecidvānarāḥ śoṇitasravāḥ |
mudgaraīrgahatāḥ kecidpatitā dharaṇītale ॥6-52-20॥
Translation
Some Vanaras were mangled by spears and bled profusely, while some fell on the earth being struck by hammers.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कुछ वानर प्रासों (बरछियों) से विदीर्ण होकर रक्त बहाने लगे, कुछ मुदगरों की चोट से भूमि पर गिर पड़े।
English Commentary
The Vanara army is now sustaining losses due to Dhumraksha's onslaught. The impact of weapons like spears ('Prasa') and hammers ('Mudgara') is lethal. This verse illustrates the aspect of war where a single powerful warrior has the potential to shift the entire direction of the battle.

धूम्राक्ष के आक्रमण से वानर सेना को अब क्षति पहुँच रही है। 'प्रास' और 'मुद्गर' जैसे शस्त्रों का प्रभाव अत्यंत घातक है। यह श्लोक युद्ध के उस पक्ष को दिखाता है जहाँ एक भी शक्तिशाली योद्धा पूरे युद्ध की दिशा बदलने की क्षमता रखता है।
