ते गदाभिश्च भीमाभिः पट्टिशैः कूटमुद्गरैः ॥ ६.५२.५ ॥श्चापि सङ्क्रुद्धा वानरान्निशितैः शरैः ॥।

vidhyurghorasaṃkāśaiḥ kaṅkapatrairajihmagaiḥ |
te gadābhīśca bhīmābhiḥ paṭṭasaiḥ kūṭamudgaraīḥ ॥6-52-5॥
Translation
The Rakshasas began to pierce the Vanaras with terrifying, straight-going arrows decorated with buzzard feathers, as well as with fearsome maces, axes, and deceptive hammers.

राक्षस कौए के पंख वाले सीधे जाने वाले भयंकर बाणों, डरावनी गदाओं, पट्टसों और कूट-मुदगरों से वानरों को बेधने लगे।
English Commentary
The use of 'Kuta-mudgara' (deceptive or concealed hammers) by the Rakshasas hints at their treacherous combat strategies. 'Kankapatra' arrows were famous for their speed and lethality. This provides a description of the Rakshasas' well-equipped military force, designed to instill terror in the Vanaras.
