ततः प्रवृत्तं तुमुलं हरीणां राक्षसैः सह ।
घोराणां भीमरूपाणामन्योन्यवधकाङ्क्षिणाम् ॥६-५३-१८॥
tataḥ pravṛttaṃ tumulaṃ harīṇāṃ rākṣasaiḥ saha |
ghorāṇāṃ bhīmarūpāṇāmanyonyavadhakāṅkṣiṇām ॥6-53-18॥
Translation
Then began the tumultuous battle between the monkeys and the demons, who were terrifying in form and intent on killing each other.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनंतर एक-दूसरे का वध करने की इच्छा रखने वाले, भयानक और भीमकाय वानरों तथा राक्षसों का वह तुमुल (घोर) युद्ध आरंभ हुआ।
English Commentary
The beginning of the fierce battle. Both sides are described as 'bhimarupa' (terrifying), indicating no room for mercy.

युद्ध की भीषणता का आरंभ। दोनों पक्ष 'भीमरूप' (डरावने) हैं और दया का कोई स्थान नहीं है।
