केचिदस्त्राणि संसृज्य बाहुयुद्धमकुर्वत ॥६-५३-२३॥
kecidastrāṇi saṃtyajya bāhuyuddhamakurvata |
talaiśca caraṇaiścāpi muṣṭibhiśca drumairapi ॥6-53-23॥
Translation
Abandoning weapons, some engaged in hand-to-hand combat. They fought with slaps, kicks, fists, and even trees.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कुछ योद्धा शस्त्रों को त्यागकर बाहु-युद्ध (कुश्ती) करने लगे। वे थप्पड़ों, पैरों, मुक्कों और वृक्षों से लड़ने लगे।
English Commentary
When weapons break or are lost, warriors turn their bodies into weapons. This represents the peak intensity of the battle.

जब हथियार टूट जाते हैं या गिर जाते हैं, तब योद्धा अपने शरीर को ही हथियार बना लेते हैं। यह युद्ध की तीव्रता का चरम है।
