निर्मलेन सुधौतेन खड्गेनास्य महच्छिरः ।
जघान वज्रदंष्ट्रस्य वालिसूनुर्महाबलः ॥६-५४-३५॥
jaghāna vajradaṃṣṭrasya vālisūnurmahābalaḥ |
rudhirokṣitagātrasya babhūva patitaṃ dvidhā ॥6-54-35॥
Translation
...severed it. Struck by the mighty son of Vali, the head of Vajradamshtra, whose body was soaked in blood, fell split in two.

...काट डाला। महाबली वालिपुत्र के प्रहार से, रक्त से लथपथ शरीर वाले वज्रदंष्ट्र का सिर दो टुकड़ों में होकर गिर पड़ा।
English Commentary
The climax of the battle is brutal and decisive. Angada decapitates Vajradamshtra. The text suggests the head fell 'split in two' or simply separated cleanly, emphasizing the sharpness of the sword and the force behind the blow. The mighty Rakshasa, blood-soaked and fierce to the end, finally meets his demise at the hands of the Prince of Kishkindha. Justice is served through the edge of the sword.

द्वंद्व का अंत वज्रदंष्ट्र के वध के साथ होता है। अंगद ने इतनी शक्ति से प्रहार किया कि सिर न केवल कट गया, बल्कि 'द्विधा' (दो भागों में) हो गया या शरीर से अलग हो गया। 'रुधिरोक्षितगात्रस्य' बताता है कि अंत तक राक्षस ने कड़ा संघर्ष किया था। वालिपुत्र अंगद ने सिद्ध कर दिया कि वे अपने पिता के समान ही महाबली हैं। अधर्म के एक और स्तंभ का पतन हुआ।
