ऊचुः खगा मृगाः सर्वे वाचः क्रूरा भयावहाः ।
स सिंहोपचितस्कन्धः शार्दूलसमविक्रमः ॥६-५५-१२॥
ūcuḥ khagā mṛgāḥ sarve vācaḥ krūrā bhayāvahāḥ |
sa siṃhopacitaskandhaḥ śārdūlasamavikramaḥ ॥6-55-12॥
Translation
All the birds and animals uttered cruel and terrifying cries. That Akampana, whose shoulders were well-built like a lion's and whose prowess was like a tiger's—

सभी पक्षी और पशु अत्यंत क्रूर और डरावनी ध्वनियाँ निकालने लगे। वह अकम्पन, जिसके कंधे सिंह के समान पुष्ट थे और पराक्रम व्याघ्र के समान था—
English Commentary
The cries of animals and birds represent nature's agitation. Akampana's physical comparison to a lion and a tiger highlights his supreme might. However, when nature turns against an individual, even bestial strength proves futile. The conflict between a mighty warrior and divine omens is clearly depicted here.

पशु-पक्षियों का क्रन्दन प्रकृति की व्याकुलता का प्रतीक है। अकम्पन की शारीरिक तुलना सिंह और व्याघ्र (बाघ) से की गई है, जो उसकी श्रेष्ठता को दर्शाती है। किन्तु जब प्रकृति विरुद्ध हो जाए, तो पशु जैसा बल भी काम नहीं आता। यहाँ एक महाबली योद्धा और दैवीय संकेतों के बीच का संघर्ष स्पष्ट है।
