मैन्दश्च द्विविदः क्रुद्धाश्चक्रुर्वेगमनुत्तमम् ।
ते तु वृक्षैर्महावेगा राक्षसानां चमूमुखे ॥६-५५-३१॥
maindaśca dvividaḥ kruddhāścakrurvegamānuttamam |
te tu vṛkṣairmahāvegā rākṣasānāṃ camūmukhe ॥6-55-31॥

Mainda and Dvivida, being enraged, displayed unsurpassed speed (prowess). Those extremely swift ones, with trees in their hands, at the front of the Rakshasa army—

English Commentary
Mainda and Dvivida, who are portions of the Ashwini Kumaras, have appeared with their full strength. Attacking 'Chamumukhe' (at the front of the army) is proof of their courage. Their strikes with trees are disintegrating the Rakshasas' frontline. This marks a collective offensive by the high-ranking Vanara officers.
