रथमास्थाय विपुलं तप्तकाञ्चनकुण्डलः ।
मेघाभो मेघवर्णश्च मेघस्वनमहास्वनः ॥६-५५-७॥
rathamāsthāya vipulaṃ taptakāñcanakuṇḍalaḥ |
meghābho meghavarṇaśca meghasvanamahāsvanaḥ ॥6-55-7॥
Translation
Wearing earrings of refined gold, Akampana—who was as vast as a cloud, of the complexion of a cloud, and possessed a roar as deep as thunder—mounted a massive chariot.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तपाए हुए सोने के कुण्डल धारण किए हुए अकम्पन, जो मेघ के समान विशाल, मेघ के समान वर्ण वाला और मेघ के समान ही गम्भीर गर्जना करने वाला था, एक बहुत बड़े रथ पर सवार हुआ।
English Commentary
Akampana's majestic and formidable appearance is detailed here. Comparing him to a cloud ('Megha') emphasizes his massive size and gravity. His golden ornaments reflect the opulence of Lanka. He advances toward the battlefield like a thundering dark cloud of the monsoon, serving as an omen of impending destruction.

अकम्पन का भव्य स्वरूप यहाँ वर्णित है। उसकी तुलना मेघ (बादल) से करना उसकी विशालता और गम्भीरता को दर्शाता है। स्वर्ण आभूषणों का होना लंका के वैभव का परिचायक है। वह साक्षात् वर्षा ऋतु के गरजते काले बादल के समान रणभूमि की ओर बढ़ा, जो विनाश की पूर्वसूचना जैसा प्रतीत होता है।
