English Commentary
Akampana's brilliance symbolizes his martial power, marking his high standing within the Rakshasa hierarchy. He is filled with zeal and fury ('Samrabdhah'). However, the narrative introduces a shift here, where this demonic brilliance is about to be challenged by ominous signs from nature.

अकम्पन का तेज यहाँ उसकी युद्ध-शक्ति का प्रतीक है। राक्षसी सेना में उसका स्थान अत्यंत ऊँचा है। वह उत्साह और क्रोध (संलब्ध) से भरा हुआ है। किन्तु वाल्मीकि जी यहाँ एक मोड़ लाते हैं, जहाँ इस आसुरी तेज का सामना अब प्रकृति के अपशकुनों से होने वाला है।
