ततस्तमभिदुद्राव राक्षसेन्द्रमकम्पनम् ।
पुरा हि नमुचिं सङ्ख्ये वज्रेणेव पुरन्दरः ॥६-५६-१७॥
tatastamabhidudrāva rākṣasendramakampanam |
purā hi namuciṃ saṃkhye vajreṇeva puraṃdaraḥ ॥6-56-17॥
Translation
Then he charged towards the demon lord Akampana, just as Purandara (Indra) charged towards Namuchi with his Vajra in battle in ancient times.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनंतर वे राक्षसराज अकम्पन की ओर वैसे ही दौड़े जैसे प्राचीन काल में युद्ध में इन्द्र (पुरंदर) वज्र लेकर नमुचि (असुर) की ओर दौड़े थे।
English Commentary
Mythological reference: The battle between Indra and Namuchi is legendary. By comparing Hanuman to Indra, Valmiki implies that this strike is intended to be decisive.
