गजांश्च सगजारोहान् सरथान् रथिनस्तथा ।
जघान हनुमान् धीमान् राक्षसांश्च पदातिगान् ॥६-५६-२३॥
gajāṃśca sagajārohān sarathān rathinastathā |
jaghāna hanumān dhīmān rākṣasāṃśca padātigān ॥6-56-23॥
Translation
The wise Hanuman killed elephants along with their riders, chariots along with the charioteers, and the infantry demons.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बुद्धिमान हनुमान ने हाथियों को महावतों सहित, रथों को रथियों सहित और पैदल चलने वाले राक्षसों को मार डाला।
English Commentary
Hanuman is called 'dhiman' (wise) here because he was not striking blindly in rage but systematically destroying the critical components of the enemy army (elephants, chariots).

यहाँ हनुमान जी को 'धीमान्' (बुद्धिमान) कहा गया है क्योंकि वे केवल क्रोध में अंधाधुंध प्रहार नहीं कर रहे थे, बल्कि शत्रु सेना के महत्वपूर्ण अंगों (हाथी, रथ) को योजनाबद्ध रूप से नष्ट कर रहे थे।
