तं दृष्ट्वा निहतं भूमौ राक्षसेन्द्रमकम्पनम् ।
व्यथिता राक्षसाः सर्वे क्षितिकम्प इव द्रुमाः ॥६-५६-३१॥
taṃ dṛṣṭvā nihataṃ bhūmau rākṣasendramakampanam |
vyathitā rākṣasāḥ sarve kṣitikampa iva drumāḥ ॥6-56-31॥
Translation
Seeing the demon lord Akampana lying dead on the ground, all the demons were distressed (trembled) just as trees tremble during an earthquake.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षसराज अकम्पन को भूमि पर मरा हुआ देखकर सभी राक्षस वैसे ही व्यथित (कांपने लगे) हुए जैसे भूकंप आने पर वृक्ष कांपते हैं।
English Commentary
Observe the irony - the death of the general named 'Akampana' (The Unshakable) caused the entire army to tremble.

विडंबना देखिए - जो सेनापति 'अकम्पन' (न कांपने वाला) था, उसकी मृत्यु ने पूरी सेना को कम्पित कर दिया।
