Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
स वीरशोभामभजन्महाकपिः समेत्य रक्षांसि निहत्य मारुतिः ।
महासुरं भीमममित्रनाशनं यथैव विष्णुर्बलिनं चमूमुखे ॥६-५६-३८॥
sa vītaśobhāmabhajanmahākapiḥ sametya rakṣāṃsi nihatya mārutiḥ |
mahāsuraṃ bhīmamamitranāśanaṃ yathaiva viṣṇurbaliinaṃ camūmukhe ॥6-56-38॥
Translation
Having killed the demons and the terrifying great demon (Akampana) at the forefront of the army, the destroyer of enemies, Maruti (Hanuman), attained special glory just as the mighty Vishnu did (after killing a great demon).
हिंदी अनुवाद
शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले मारुति महाकपि (हनुमान) राक्षसों को मारकर और (शत्रु) सेना के मुहाने पर भयानक महासुर (अकम्पन) का वध करके वैसे ही विशेष शोभा को प्राप्त हुए जैसे बलवान विष्णु ने (महासुर को मारकर) प्राप्त की थी।
English Commentary
Hanuman is compared to Lord Vishnu. This is the highest comparison. Just as Vishnu destroyed demons to establish Dharma, Hanuman killed Akampana for the cause of Shri Rama.

हनुमान जी की तुलना भगवान विष्णु से की गई है। यह तुलना सर्वोच्च है। जैसे विष्णु ने धर्म की स्थापना के लिए असुरों का नाश किया, वैसे ही हनुमान जी ने रामकाज के लिए अकम्पन का वध किया।
