ततः प्रजवनाश्वेन रथेन रथिनां वरः ।
हरीनभ्यहनत् क्रोधाच्छरजालैरकम्पनः ॥६-५६-६॥
tataḥ prajavanāśvena rathena rathināṃ varaḥ |
harīnbhyahanatkrodhāccharajālairakampanaḥ ॥6-56-6॥
Translation
Then Akampana, the best among charioteers, advancing in his chariot drawn by swift horses, angrily struck the monkeys with a multitude of arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनंतर रथियों में श्रेष्ठ अकम्पन ने तीव्र गति वाले घोड़ों से युक्त रथ के द्वारा (आगे बढ़कर) क्रोधपूर्वक बाणों के समूह से वानरों पर प्रहार किया।
English Commentary
The epithet 'best among charioteers' proves Akampana's martial skill. He created a 'net of arrows' (sharajaal), leaving no escape route for the monkeys. This marked the beginning of a fierce assault.

'रथियों में श्रेष्ठ' विशेषण अकम्पन की युद्ध-कुशलता को सिद्ध करता है। उसने 'शरजाल' (बाणों का जाल) बिछा दिया, जिससे वानरों को बचने का मार्ग न मिले। यह एक भीषण आक्रमण का आरंभ था।
