English Commentary
Prahasta uses Vedic sacrificial imagery, describing his fighting as offering his life into the fire of battle ('juhvashantam' - wishing to offer as oblation). This elevates his death wish to a sacred act of duty. He invites Ravana to witness this final act of loyalty. It marks the transition from words to action as the commander takes charge.

प्रहस्त युद्ध को एक यज्ञ मानता है जहाँ वह अपने प्राणों की 'आहुति' (जुह्वषन्तं) देगा। यह शब्दावली अत्यंत पवित्र और गंभीर है। वह जीतने का वादा नहीं करता, बल्कि बलिदान का वादा करता है, मानो उसे अपनी नियति का आभास हो। अपने स्वामी ('भर्तारं') को आश्वस्त करने के बाद, वह अब अपनी भूमिका एक सलाहकार से बदलकर एक सेनानायक की कर लेता है।
