अथामन्त्र्य च राजानं भेरीमाहत्य भैरवाम् ।
आरुरोह रथं दिव्यं प्रहस्तः सज्जकल्पितम् ॥६-५७-२५॥
athāmantrya ca rājānaṃ bherīmāhatya bhairavām |
āruroha rathaṃ divyaṃ prahastaḥ sajjakalpitam ॥6-57-25॥
Translation
Then, having taken leave of the King and beating the terrible kettle-drum, Prahasta ascended the divine chariot that was prepared and ready.

तदनंतर राजा से अनुमति लेकर और भयानक भेरी बजवाकर, प्रहस्त उस दिव्य रथ पर सवार हुआ जो (युद्ध के लिए) सजाकर तैयार किया गया था।
English Commentary
The ritual of departure involves formally taking leave of the King and sounding the war drums ('bherim... bhairavam'). Prahasta mounts a 'divine' chariot, signifying his elite status. The description builds the aura of a grand, impending clash. The terrible sound of the drum acts as a psychological weapon, announcing the arrival of death to the enemies.

प्रहस्त ने विधिवत राजा रावण से विदा ली ('आमन्त्र्य')। 'भैरवाम्' (भयानक) भेरी की ध्वनि युद्ध का शंखनाद थी। उसका रथ साधारण नहीं, अपितु 'दिव्य' था, जो राक्षसों के पास उपलब्ध उच्च तकनीक और ऐश्वर्य का परिचायक है। यह प्रस्थान का क्षण है, जो भव्यता और भय दोनों का संचार करता है।
