Prahasta is compared to 'Yama at the end of time' (Kalantaka), the ultimate destroyer. This signifies his intent to annihilate the enemy. प्रहस्त की तुलना 'कालान्तकयमोपमः' (प्रलयंकारी मृत्यु के देवता यम) से की गई है। यह एक द्विपक्षीय उपमा है—वह शत्रुओं के लिए मृत्यु बनकर जा रहा है, और स्वयं भी मृत्यु की ओर बढ़ रहा है। उसका निकलना प्रलय की तरह विनाशकारी प्रतीत हो रहा था। शोर इतना अधिक था कि उसने समस्त वातावरण को आक्रांत कर दिया।
