मेघाश्च खरनिर्घोषा रथस्योपरि रक्षसः ।
ववृषू रुधिरं चास्य सिषिचुश्च पुरस्सरान् ॥६-५७-३८॥

vavṛṣu rudhiraṃ cāsya siṣicuśca puraḥsarān ॥6-57-38॥
Translation
Clouds with harsh thunder rained blood upon the Rakshasa's chariot and drenched those marching in front.

राक्षस (प्रहस्त) के रथ के ऊपर कठोर गर्जना करने वाले बादलों ने रक्त की वर्षा की और उसके आगे चलने वालों को (रक्त से) भिगो दिया।
English Commentary
The imagery culminates in a rain of blood upon the chariot and the vanguard. This is a visceral metaphor for the slaughter that awaits them. Being drenched in blood before a single arrow is fired marks them as walking corpses. The 'harsh thunder' acts as nature's war drum, announcing their doom.
