अथ घोषः सुतुमुलो हरीणां समजायत ।
वृक्षानारुजतां चैव गुर्वीरागृह्णतां शिलाः ॥६-५७-४३॥
atha ghoṣaḥ sutumulo harīṇāṃ samajāyata |
vṛkṣānārujatāṃ caiva gurvīrāgṛhṇatāṃ śilāḥ ॥6-57-43॥
Translation
Then, a tumultuous noise arose among the monkeys as they uprooted trees and seized heavy rocks.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनंतर वृक्षों को उखाड़ते हुए और भारी शिलाओं को उठाते हुए वानरों का अत्यंत तुमुल (कोलाहलपूर्ण) घोष उत्पन्न हुआ।
English Commentary
The Vanaras mobilize their primitive yet effective arsenal. The sound of trees being uprooted ('arujatam') and rocks being lifted creates a 'tumultuous noise' intended to rival the Rakshasa drums. It demonstrates their raw strength and readiness to meet the technological superiority of the Rakshasas with brute force and devotion.

वानरों की प्रतिक्रिया। वे डरे नहीं, जैसा रावण ने सोचा था, बल्कि उन्होंने जवाबी शोर ('घोषः सुतुमुलः') किया। वे अपने प्राकृतिक हथियार—वृक्ष और भारी शिलाएं—तैयार करने लगे। वृक्षों के टूटने और चट्टानों के टकराने की आवाजें युद्ध के उन्माद को बढ़ा रही थीं। यह उनकी युद्ध-सज्जा का वर्णन है।
