तेषामन्योन्यमासाद्य सङ्ग्रामः सुमहानभूत् ।
बहूनामश्मवृष्टिं च शरवृष्टिं च वर्षताम् ॥६-५८-१०॥
teṣāmanyonyamāsādya saṃgrāmaḥ sumahānabhūt |
bahūnāmaśmavṛṣṭiṃ ca śaravṛṣṭiṃ ca varṣatām ॥6-58-10॥
Translation
As they approached each other, a great battle took place among the many warriors who were raining down showers of stones and arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
एक-दूसरे के निकट पहुँचने पर उनके बीच महान युद्ध हुआ, जिसमें बहुत से योद्धा पत्थरों और बाणों की वर्षा कर रहे थे।
English Commentary
The war has now begun with full force. This conflict between 'Ashmavrishti' (shower of stones) and 'Sharavrishti' (shower of arrows) illustrates the clash between two different civilizations and combat styles. The intensity of the clamor and the strikes makes the battlefield tremble.

युद्ध अब पूर्ण वेग से आरम्भ हो चुका है। 'अश्मवृष्टि' (पत्थरों की वर्षा) और 'शरवृष्टि' (बाणों की वर्षा) के बीच का यह संघर्ष दो अलग सभ्यताओं और युद्ध पद्धतियों के टकराव को दिखाता है। कोलाहल और प्रहारों की तीव्रता से रणभूमि कांप उठी है।
