निरुच्छ्वासाः कृताः केचित् पतिता धरणीतले ।
विभिन्नहृदयाः केचिदिषुसन्धानसन्दिताः ॥६-५८-१३॥
nirucchvāsāḥ kṛtāḥ kecidpatitā dharaṇītale |
vibhinnahṛdayāḥ kecidiṣusaṃdhānasāditāḥ ॥6-58-13॥
Translation
Some were rendered breathless and fell to the ground, and the hearts of some were split apart, struck by the aiming of arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कुछ की श्वास रोक दी गई और वे भूमि पर गिर पड़े, और कुछ के हृदय बाणों के संधान से बिंधकर फट गए।
English Commentary
The loss of life and the falling of bodies have become a continuous process. The word 'Nirucchvasah' depicts the suffocating agony warriors endure in battle. The strikes of the arrows are so precise that they pierce the hearts directly.
हिंदी टीका
प्राणों का जाना और शरीरों का गिरना अब निरंतर प्रक्रिया बन गई है। 'निरुच्छ्वासाः' शब्द उस दम घोंटने वाली पीड़ा को दिखाता है जो युद्ध में योद्धाओं को झेलनी पड़ती है। बाणों का प्रहार इतना सटीक है कि वे सीधे हृदय को भेद रहे हैं।
