केचिद्द्विधा कृताः खड्गैः स्फुरन्तः पतिता भुवि ।
वानरा राक्षसैः शूलैः पार्श्वतश्चावदारिताः ॥६-५८-१४॥
keciddvidhā kṛtāḥ khaḍgaīḥ sphurantaḥ patitā bhuvi |
vānarā rākṣasaīḥ śūlaiḥ pārśvataśca vidāritāḥ ॥6-58-14॥
Translation
Some were cut into two by swords and fell twitching on the earth. The Vanaras' sides were torn open by the Rakshasas with tridents.
हिंदी अनुवाद
कुछ तलवारों से दो टुकड़ों में काट दिए गए और तड़पते हुए भूमि पर गिर पड़े। राक्षसों ने वानरों की पसलियों को शूलों से फाड़ दिया।
English Commentary
The description of twitching (Sphurantah) warriors brings the agony of battle to life. The wounds from swords and tridents are deep and lethal. This reflects the Rakshasas' cruel combat style, aiming not just to kill but to make the enemy suffer.

तड़पते हुए (स्फुरन्तः) योद्धाओं का वर्णन युद्ध की पीड़ा को सजीव करता है। तलवार और शूल के घाव अत्यंत गहरे और घातक हैं। यह राक्षसों की क्रूर युद्ध पद्धति को दर्शाता है जो शत्रु को केवल मारना ही नहीं बल्कि उसे तड़पाना भी चाहते थे।
