आवर्त इव सञ्जज्ञे उभयोः सेनयोस्तदा ।
क्षुभितस्याप्रमेयस्य सागरस्येव निस्वनः ॥६-५८-२५॥
āvarta iva saṃjajñe ubhayoḥ senayormṛdhe |
kṣubhitasyāprameyasya sāgarasyeva niḥsvanaḥ ॥6-58-25॥
Translation
In the battle, an agitation like a whirlpool arose between the two armies, and a sound like that of a turbulent, immeasurable ocean began to roar.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्ध में दोनों सेनाओं के बीच भंवर के समान हलचल हुई और क्षुब्ध हुए अपार समुद्र के समान भयंकर शब्द होने लगा।
English Commentary
The battle is compared here to a whirlpool in the ocean. 'Avarta' (whirlpool) signifies that the conflict has become extremely complex and violent, from which there is no escape. The ocean-like sound underlines its vastness and gravity.

यहाँ युद्ध की तुलना समुद्र के भंवर से की गई है। 'आवर्त' (भंवर) यह दिखाता है कि युद्ध अब अत्यंत जटिल और हिंसक हो गया है जहाँ से बाहर निकलना असम्भव है। 'सागर' के समान ध्वनि उसकी विशालता और गम्भीरता को रेखांकित करती है।
