वानराणां शरीरैश्च राक्षसानां च मेदिनी ।
बभूव निचिता घोरा पतितैरिव पर्वतैः ॥६-५८-२७॥
vānarāṇāṃ śarīraiśca rākṣasānāṃ ca medinī |
babhūva nicitā ghorā patitairiva parvataīḥ ॥6-58-27॥
Translation
The terrible earth became covered with the bodies of Vanaras and Rakshasas, appearing like it was strewn with fallen mountains.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानरों और राक्षसों के गिरते हुए शरीरों से वह भयंकर पृथ्वी वैसे ही भर गई जैसे गिरे हुए पर्वतों से भर गई हो।
English Commentary
The corpses appearing like mountains reflect the stature and glory of the warriors. The word 'Nichita' implies that the earth is now completely covered with bodies. This verse completes the terrifying visual of carnage where life seems to have lost its value.

शवों का पर्वत के समान विशाल होना योद्धाओं के कद और गौरव को दर्शाता है। 'निचिता' शब्द यह बताता है कि पृथ्वी अब शवों से पूरी तरह ढकी जा चुकी है। यह श्लोक संहार के उस भयावह दृश्य को पूर्ण करता है जहाँ जीवन का कोई मोल नहीं रह गया है।
