यकृत्प्लीहमहापङ्कां विनिकीर्णान्त्रशैवलाम् ।
भिन्नकायशिरोमीनामङ्गावयवशाद्वलाम् ॥६-५८-३०॥
yakṛtplīhamahāpaṅkāṃ vinikīrṇāntraśaivālām |
bhinnakāyaśiromīnāmaṅgāvayavaśādvalām ॥6-58-30॥
Translation
Where livers and spleens are the thick mud, scattered intestines the moss, severed bodies and heads the fish, and limbs the grassy patches—

यकृत और प्लीहा ही जहाँ भारी कीचड़ है, बाहर निकली हुई अंतड़ियाँ ही जहाँ शैवाल (काई) हैं, कटे हुए शरीर और सिर ही जहाँ मछलियाँ हैं और शरीर के अंग ही जहाँ घास हैं—
English Commentary
The river metaphor is extended with 'Vibhatsa Rasa' (ghastly sentiment). Likening intestines to moss and severed heads to fish brings the cruelty of war directly before one's eyes. This verse conveys how disgusting and terrifying the consequences of violence truly are.

नदी के रूपक को वीभत्स रस के साथ आगे बढ़ाया गया है। अंतड़ियों को शैवाल और कटे सिरों को मछलियाँ कहना युद्ध की क्रूरता को साक्षात् आँखों के सामने ले आता है। यह श्लोक यह संदेश देता है कि हिंसा का परिणाम कितना घृणित और भयावह होता है।
