नानापताकाध्वजशस्त्रजुष्टं प्रासासिशूलायुधशस्त्रजुष्टम् ।
सैन्यं गजेन्द्रोपमनागजुष्टं कस्येदमक्षोभ्यमभीरुजुष्टम् ॥६-५९-१२॥
nānāpatākādhvajaśastrajruṣṭaṃ prāsāsiśūlāyudhaśastrajruṣṭam |
sainyaṃ gajendropamanāgajuṣṭaṃ kasyedamakṣobhyamabhīrujuṣṭam ॥6-59-12॥
Translation
(Shri Rama asked): Whose is this unassailable army, filled with fearless warriors, equipped with various banners, flags, and weapons, armed with lances, swords, and tridents, and possessed of elephants resembling the king of elephants?
हिंदी अनुवाद
(श्रीश्री राम ने पूछा): नाना प्रकार की पताकाओं, ध्वजों और शस्त्रों से युक्त, प्रास, तलवार और शूल आदि आयुधों से संपन्न, गजेन्द्रों के समान विशाल हाथियों वाली, यह निर्भीक वीरों से युक्त अजेय सेना किसकी है?
English Commentary
Shri Rama is making an objective assessment of the enemy force. He observes the organization, weaponry, and morale ('fearless') of the army. As a skilled warrior, he does not underestimate the enemy's strength. He asks Vibhishana to identify the specific commanders to formulate his strategy.

श्रीश्री राम शत्रु सेना का वस्तुनिष्ठ आकलन कर रहे हैं। वे सेना के संगठन, आयुधों और मनोबल ('निर्भीक') का निरीक्षण करते हैं। एक कुशल योद्धा के रूप में, वे शत्रु की शक्ति को कम नहीं आंकते। वे विभीषण से विशिष्ट सेनापतियों की पहचान पूछ रहे हैं ताकि वे अपनी रणनीति बना सकें।
