Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
आददे निशितान् बाणान् जग्राह च महद्धनुः ।
निपातितमहावीरां द्रवन्तीं वानरीं चमूम् ॥६-५९-१२३॥
nipātitamahāvīrāṃ dravantīṃ vānarīṃ camūm |
rāghavastu raṇe dṛṣṭvā rāvaṇaṃ samabhidravat ॥6-59-123॥
Translation
Seeing the monkey army fleeing with its great heroes struck down, and seeing Ravana (ready), Raghava (Shri Rama) rushed towards him in battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जिसके महान वीर गिरा दिए गए हैं, ऐसी भागती हुई वानर सेना को और रावण को (पुनः तैयार) देखकर, राघव (श्री राम) युद्ध में उसकी ओर दौड़े।
English Commentary
Shri Rama steps in. Seeing his army in disarray and his champions down, Shri Rama takes charge. He rushes towards Ravana. This is the moment the narrative has built towards—the direct confrontation between the Avatar and the Demon King.
हिंदी टीका
श्री राम का प्रवेश। उन्होंने देखा कि उनकी सेना बिखर रही है ('द्रवन्तीं') और उनके मुख्य वीर (नील, लक्ष्मण) घायल हो चुके हैं। एक सच्चे नायक की तरह, श्री राम ने कमान संभाली और सीधे मुख्य शत्रु रावण की ओर दौड़े ('समभिद्रवत्')। अब महाकाव्य का सबसे बड़ा द्वंद्व शुरू होने वाला है।
