वैरोचनमिव क्रुद्धो विष्णुरभ्युद्यतायुधः ।
ज्याशब्दमकरोत्तीवं वज्रनिष्पेषनिस्वनम् ॥६-५९-१२८॥
jyāśabdamakarottīvraṃ vajraniṣpeṣaniḥsvanam |
girā gambhīrayā rāmo rākṣasendramuvāca ha ॥6-59-128॥
Translation
He made a sharp sound with his bowstring resembling the crash of a thunderbolt, and with a deep voice, Shri Rama spoke to the Lord of Rakshasas.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन्होंने वज्र के गिरने/टकराने की ध्वनि के समान धनुष की प्रत्यंचा का तीव्र शब्द (टंकार) किया और गंभीर वाणी में राक्षसराज से कहा।
English Commentary
The twang of Shri Rama's bow acts as a terrifying prelude. The sound alone rivals the thunderbolt. Shri Rama then speaks in a 'deep voice', adding gravitas to his imminent judgment of Ravana.
हिंदी टीका
युद्ध शुरू करने से पहले श्री राम की टंकार। उनके धनुष की ध्वनि 'वज्रनिष्पेष' (वज्र के टकराने) जैसी थी। इसके बाद उन्होंने 'गम्भीरया गिरा' (गंभीर वाणी) में रावण को चेतावनी दी। श्री राम का व्यक्तित्व शांत किन्तु भयानक है।
