रोषेण महताविष्टः पूर्ववैरमनुस्मरन् ।
आजघान शरैस्तीक्ष्णैः कालानलशिखोपमैः ॥६-५९-१३४॥
roṣeṇa mahatāviṣṭaḥ pūrvavairamanusmaran |
ājaghāna śaraistīkṣṇaiḥ kālānalaśikhopamaiḥ ॥6-59-134॥
Translation
...filled with great anger and remembering previous enmity, he struck him with sharp arrows resembling the flames of the fire of dissolution.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...महान रोष से भरकर और पुराने बैर (लंका दहन आदि) को याद करते हुए, प्रलय की अग्नि शिखा के समान तीखे बाणों से प्रहार किया।
English Commentary
Ravana unleashes his fury on Hanuman, remembering the humiliation of Lanka's burning. Using arrows like 'Kalanala' (doomsday fire), he seeks revenge on the monkey who started the destruction of his city.

रावण को हनुमान से 'पूर्ववैर' (पुराना दुश्मन) याद आ गया—अशोक वाटिका उजाड़ना और लंका जलाना। उसने हनुमान जी पर घातक बाण चलाए। यह रावण के प्रतिशोध की भावना को दर्शाता है।
