तस्मिन् प्रभिन्ने त्रिदशेन्द्रशत्रौ सुरासुरा भूतगणा दिशश्च ।
ससागराः सर्षिमहोरागाश्च तथैव भूम्यम्बुचराश्च हृष्टाः ॥६-५९-१४६॥
tasmin prabhinne tridaśendraśatrau surāsurā bhūtagaṇā diśaśca |
sasāgarāḥ sarṣi mahoragāśca tathaiva bhūmyambucarāśca hṛṣṭāḥ ॥6-59-146॥
Translation
When that enemy of Indra (Ravana) was thus broken/defeated, the gods, asuras, beings, directions, oceans, sages, great serpents, and creatures of land and water rejoiced.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इन्द्रशत्रु (रावण) के उस प्रकार भग्न (पराजित) होने पर, सुर, असुर, भूतगण, दिशाएं, सागर, ऋषि, बड़े नाग (महोरग) तथा पृथ्वी और जल में रहने वाले प्राणी हर्षित हुए।
English Commentary
The sarga ends with cosmic jubilation. All of creation ('bhumy-ambu-charashca' - land and water dwellers) celebrates Ravana's defeat. It signifies that Shri Rama's victory restores balance to the entire universe.
हिंदी टीका
सर्ग का समापन ब्रह्मांडीय हर्षोल्लास के साथ होता है। रावण की हार से पूरी सृष्टि—जल, थल, नभ—प्रसन्न थी। यह अधर्म पर धर्म की पहली बड़ी विजय थी।
