ततः स रक्षोधिपतिर्महात्मा रक्षांसि तान्याह महाबलानि ।
द्वारेषु चर्यागृहगोपुरेषु सुनिर्वृतास्तिष्ठत निर्विशङ्काः ॥६-५९-३३॥
tataḥ sa rakṣo'dhipatirmahātmā rakṣāṃsi tānyāha mahābalāni |
dvāreṣu caryāgṛhagopureṣu sunirvṛtāstiṣṭhata nirviśaṅkāḥ ॥6-59-33॥
Translation
Then, that high-souled Lord of Rakshasas spoke to those mighty demons: 'Stand firmly and fearlessly, well-protected at the gates, main streets, and towers.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर उस महातेजस्वी राक्षसराज ने उन महाबली राक्षसों से कहा—'तुम लोग लंका के द्वारों, चर्यागृहों और गोपुरों पर निर्शंक होकर और अच्छी तरह सुरक्षित रहकर डटे रहो।'
English Commentary
Like a skilled commander, Ravana first secures his defense. He knows that while he is engaged in battle, monkeys might infiltrate Lanka. Thus, he orders his key troops to guard the city gates and towers.
हिंदी टीका
रावण एक कुशल सेनापति की तरह पहले अपनी रक्षा पंक्ति (defense) को मजबूत करता है। वह जानता है कि जब वह युद्ध में व्यस्त होगा, तो वानर लंका में घुस सकते हैं। इसलिए वह मुख्य वीरों को नगर रक्षा का आदेश देता है।
