तमापतन्तं सहसा समीक्ष्य दीप्तेषुचापं युधि राक्षसेन्द्रम् ।
महत् समुत्पाट्य महीधराग्रं दुद्राव रक्षोधिपतिं हरीशः ॥६-५९-३६॥
tamāpatantaṃ sahasā samīkṣya dīpteṣucāpa yudhi rākṣasendram |
mahatsamutpāṭya mahīdharāgraṃ dudrāva rakṣo'dhipatiṃ harīśaḥ ॥6-59-36॥
Translation
Seeing that King of Rakshasas coming suddenly in battle with glowing arrows and bow, Sugriva, the Lord of Monkeys, uprooted a huge mountain peak and ran towards the Demon Lord.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्ध में प्रदीप्त बाण और धनुष धारण किए उस राक्षसेन्द्र को सहसा आते देखकर, वानरराज सुग्रीव एक विशाल पर्वत शिखर उखाड़कर राक्षसराज की ओर दौड़े।
English Commentary
Sugriva, the King of Monkeys, accepts Ravana's challenge. Ravana wields a bow and arrow, while Sugriva uses nature (a mountain). This is a direct confrontation between two kings.

सुग्रीव, जो वानरों के राजा हैं, रावण की चुनौती स्वीकार करते हैं। रावण के पास धनुष-बाण हैं, जबकि सुग्रीव के पास प्रकृति (पर्वत) का सहारा है। यह एक राजा का दूसरे राजा से सीधा टकराव है।
