अद्य तद्वानरानीकं रामं च सहलक्ष्मणम् ।
निर्दहिष्यामि वाणौघैर्वनं दीप्तैरिवाग्निभिः ॥ ६.५९.६ ॥ अद्य संतर्पयिष्यामि पृथिवीं कपिशोणितैः ॥ ॥६-५९-६॥
adya tadvānarānīkaṃ rāmaṃ ca sahalakṣmaṇam |
nirdahiṣyāmi bāṇaughairvanaṃ dīptairivāgnibhiḥ |

adya saṃtarpayiṣyāmi pṛthivīṃ kapiśoṇitaiḥ ॥6-59-6॥
Translation
Today, I shall burn down that army of monkeys and Shri Rama along with Lakshmana with floods of arrows, just as glowing fires burn down a forest. Today, I shall satiate the earth with the blood of monkeys.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जैसे प्रज्वलित अग्नि वन को जला देती है, वैसे ही आज मैं बाणों के समूह से उस वानर सेना को और लक्ष्मण सहित श्री राम को भस्म कर दूँगा। आज मैं वानरों के रक्त से पृथ्वी को तृप्त कर दूँगा।
English Commentary
Ravana proclaims his vow. He compares himself to a roaring fire and the enemy army to a forest, illustrating his destructive intent. The imagery of satiating the earth with monkey blood is terrifying and captures the 'Raudra' (furious) sentiment. It emphasizes that his goal is not just defeat, but total annihilation of Shri Rama, Lakshmana, and their army.

रावण अपनी प्रतिज्ञा उद्घोषित करता है। वह अपनी तुलना 'प्रज्वलित अग्नि' से और शत्रु सेना की तुलना 'वन' से करता है, जो उसके विनाशकारी इरादों को स्पष्ट करता है। 'वानरों के रक्त से पृथ्वी को तृप्त करना' एक भयानक और रौद्र रूपक है, जो उसके प्रतिशोध की तीव्रता को दर्शाता है। यहाँ उसका लक्ष्य केवल हराना नहीं, बल्कि पूर्ण विनाश है।
