हनुमानपि तेजस्वी समाश्वस्तो महामनाः ।
विप्रेक्षमाणो युद्धेप्सुः सरोषमिदमब्रवीत् ॥६-५९-७३॥
tamāpatantaṃ śailāgraṃ dṛṣṭvā rāvaṇo'tha mahābalaḥ |
bibheda saptabhirbāṇaiḥ supuṅkhairniśitaiḥ śaraiḥ ॥6-59-73॥
Translation
Seeing that mountain peak falling towards him, the mighty Ravana shattered it with seven sharp arrows adorned with beautiful feathers.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस पर्वत शिखर को अपनी ओर आते देख, महाबली रावण ने सुंदर पंख वाले सात तीखे बाणों से उसे (हवा में ही) भेद दिया।
English Commentary
Ravana demonstrates exceptional reflexes and interception skills. Shattering a massive projectile like a mountain peak mid-air requires precision and speed. The use of seven arrows ('saptabhir banaih') indicates rapid-fire archery. रावण की फुर्ती और निशानेबाज़ी यहाँ प्रदर्शित होती है। एक विशाल पर्वत शिखर को अपने तक पहुँचने से पहले ही हवा में नष्ट करना असाधारण कौशल की माँग करता है। उसने 'सप्तभिः बाणैः' (सात बाणों) का प्रयोग किया, जो उसकी आक्रमण गति को दर्शाता है। रावण केवल बलवान नहीं, बल्कि 'महाबलः' है, जो संकट को पास आने से पहले ही समाप्त करने की क्षमता रखता है।
