रावणो ऽपि महातेजास्तच्छृङ्गं सप्तभिः शरैः ।
आजघान सुतीक्ष्णाग्रैस्तद्विकीर्णं पपात ह ॥६-५९-७५॥
tato'śvakarṇān vividhān pādapāṃśca supuṣpitān |
anyaṃśca vividhān vṛkṣān laṅkeśāya samākirat ॥6-59-75॥
Translation
Then he hurled various Ashvakarna trees, other blossoming plants, and various kinds of trees at the Lord of Lanka.

तदनंतर उन्होंने अश्वकर्ण के विविध वृक्ष, फूले हुए अन्य पादप और अनेक प्रकार के वृक्ष लंकापति रावण पर बरसा दिए।
English Commentary
Nila changes tactics from a single massive projectile to a volley of smaller ones. By hurling various trees like Ashvakarna, he attempts to overwhelm Ravana's defenses through volume and variety. The mention of 'blossoming' ('supushpitan') trees creates a poetic juxtaposition between the beauty of nature and the violence of war. Nila turns the entire forest into an arsenal against the Demon King.

जब एक हथियार (पर्वत) विफल हो गया, तो नील ने विविधता ('विविधान्') का सहारा लिया। उन्होंने अश्वकर्ण और अन्य पुष्पित वृक्षों की वर्षा कर दी। यह 'तत्र-यत्र' (scramble) रणनीति है, जिसका उद्देश्य शत्रु को सँभलने का मौका न देना और उसे भ्रमित करना है। वानरों के पास असीमित प्राकृतिक गोला-बारूद था, जिसका नील ने भरपूर उपयोग किया।
