तद्विकीर्णं गिरेः शृङ्गं दृष्ट्वा हरिचमूपतिः ।
कालाग्निरिव जज्वाल क्रोधोन परवीरहा ॥६-५९-७६॥
tān vṛkṣān abhipatataḥ pratijagrāha vīryavān |
rāvaṇaḥ paramāstreṇa vārayāmāsa dustarān ॥6-59-76॥
Translation
The powerful Ravana intercepted those trees falling upon him and warded off those unstoppable projectiles with a supreme weapon (Paramastra).
हिंदी अनुवाद
वीर्यवान रावण ने अपनी ओर आते हुए उन दुर्निवार वृक्षों को रोक दिया और परमास्त्र द्वारा उनका निवारण (नाश) कर दिया।
English Commentary
Ravana counters the barrage effectively. The trees are described as 'dustaran' (difficult to resist/cross), implying Nila's attack was formidable. However, Ravana employs a 'Paramastra' (supreme weapon), indicating an escalation in the magical grade of weapons used. This shows Ravana's versatility and ability to adapt his defense to the scale of the threat, neutralizing nature's fury with mystical power.

नील का आक्रमण 'दुस्तर' (जिसे पार करना या रोकना कठिन हो) था, परन्तु रावण 'वीर्यवान' है। उसने साधारण बाणों के बजाय 'परमास्त्र' (श्रेष्ठ अस्त्र) का प्रयोग किया। यह दिखाता है कि रावण नील को हल्के में नहीं ले रहा था। उसने वानर सेनापति के हर वार का उत्तर अपनी श्रेष्ठ विद्या से दिया, जिससे सिद्ध होता है कि वह युद्धकला में पारंगत था।
