जीवितं खलु रक्षस्व यदि शक्तो ऽसि वानर ।
तानि तान्यात्मरूपाणि सृजसि त्वमनेकशः ॥६-५९-८७॥
visaṃjñaṃ vānaraṃ dṛṣṭvā rāvaṇo rākṣaseśvaraḥ |
rathenāmbudanādena saumitrimabhidudruve ॥6-59-87॥
Translation
Seeing the monkey unconscious (or incapacitated), Ravana, the Lord of Rakshasas, rushed towards the son of Sumitra (Lakshmana) in his chariot that rumbled like a rain-cloud.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानर (नील) को अचेत (या युद्ध से विरत) देखकर, राक्षसराज रावण मेघ के समान गर्जना करने वाले रथ से सुमित्राकुमार लक्ष्मण की ओर दौड़ा।
English Commentary
With Nila neutralized temporarily ('visanjnam'), Ravana shifts targets. He charges at Lakshmana. The sound of his chariot ('ambudanadena') sets the acoustic backdrop for this heavyweight clash. Moving from a commander (Nila) to the Prince (Lakshmana) signifies an escalation. Ravana seeks a worthy opponent to vent his fury.

नील के अचेत होने या युद्ध से हट जाने के बाद, रावण ने अपना ध्यान मुख्य शत्रु-पक्ष के नेताओं की ओर मोड़ दिया। वह लक्ष्मण की ओर बढ़ा। उसके रथ की आवाज 'अम्बुदनादेन' (बादल की गर्जना) जैसी थी, जो उसके भयानक आगमन की घोषणा कर रही थी। अब युद्ध का स्तर और ऊँचा होने वाला था—दो महारथियों का मिलन।
