तं तु बोधयत क्षिप्रं कुम्भकर्णं महाबलम् ।
स तु सङ्ख्ये महाबाहुः ककुदः सर्वरक्षसाम् ॥६-६०-१८॥
taṃ tu bodhayata kṣipraṃ kumbhakarṇaṃ mahābalam |
sa tu saṅkhye mahābāhuḥ kakudaḥ sarvarakṣasām ॥6-60-18॥
Translation
Wake up that mighty Kumbhakarna quickly. That great-armed one is the foremost leader of all Rakshasas in battle.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस महाबली कुम्भकर्ण को शीघ्र जगाओ। वह महाबाहु युद्ध में सब राक्षसों का प्रधान (ध्वज/सहारा) है।
English Commentary
'Kakudah' implies the hump (of a bull) or the chief/best, meaning the one on whom the army relies. Ravana believes that waking Kumbhakarna is the key to victory.
हिंदी टीका
'ककुदः' का अर्थ है कूबड़ या श्रेष्ठ, अर्थात वह जिस पर पूरी सेना निर्भर करती है। रावण मानता है कि कुम्भकर्ण का जागना ही विजय की कुंजी है।
