यदा भृशार्तैर्निनदैर्महात्मा न कुम्भकर्णो बुबुधे प्रसुप्तः ।
ततो मुसुण्ठीर्मुसलानि सर्वे रक्षोगणास्ते जगृहुर्गदाश्च ॥६-६०-३९॥
yadā bhṛśārtairninadairmahātmā na kumbhakarṇo bubudhe prasuptaḥ |
tato musuṇṭhīrmusalāni sarve rakṣogaṇāste jagṛhurgadāśca ॥6-60-39॥
Translation
When the high-souled Kumbhakarna did not wake up even from those extremely distressing sounds, all those groups of Rakshasas picked up Bhushundis (clubs), pestles, and maces.
हिंदी अनुवाद
जब वह महात्मा कुम्भकर्ण उन अत्यंत पीड़ित करने वाले शब्दों से भी नहीं जागा, तब उन सब राक्षस गणों ने भुशुण्डियाँ, मूसल और गदाएँ उठा लीं।
English Commentary
With sound failing, they resorted to force. They had to use weapons to wake their own commander.
हिंदी टीका
ध्वनि का असर न होने पर अब वे बल प्रयोग पर उतर आए। अपने ही सेनापति को जगाने के लिए उन्हें हथियारों का सहारा लेना पड़ा।
