Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
इदं तद्ब्रह्मणो घोरं वाक्यं मामभ्युपस्थितम् ।
मानुषेभ्यो विजानीहि भयं त्वमिति तत्तथा ॥६-६०-६॥
idaṃ tadbrahmaṇo ghoraṃ vākyam māmabhyupasthitam |
mānuṣebhyo vijānīhi bhayaṃ tvamiti tattathā ॥6-60-6॥
Translation
That terrible word of Brahma has now come upon me: 'Know that you shall have fear from humans.' And it has happened exactly so.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ब्रह्माजी का वह घोर वचन (शाप/चेतावनी) अब मेरे सामने उपस्थित हो गया है कि 'तुम्हें मनुष्यों से भय प्राप्त होगा', और वह वैसा ही हुआ।
English Commentary
In times of calamity, Ravana recalls divine warnings. He remembers Brahma's warning that danger would come from humans. In his arrogance, he had ignored it then. The memory of that 'terrible word' now makes him realize his mistake. The fruits of one's actions ultimately manifest.
हिंदी टीका
विपत्ति के समय रावण को दैवीय चेतावनियाँ याद आती हैं। उसे स्मरण होता है कि ब्रह्माजी ने उसे चेतावनी दी थी कि उसका अंत मनुष्यों के हाथों हो सकता है। उस समय अहंकारवश उसने इसे अनदेखा कर दिया था। 'घोर वाक्य' का स्मरण अब उसे अपनी भूल का अहसास करा रहा है। कर्मों का फल अंततः सामने आता ही है।
