न नो दैवकृतं किञ्चिद्भयमस्ति कदाचन ।
मानुषान्नो भयं राजंस्तुमुलं सम्प्रबाधते ॥६-६०-७३॥
na no daivakṛtaṃ kiñcidbhayamasti kadācana |
mānuṣāṅno bhayaṃ rājanstumulaṃ samprabādhate ॥6-60-73॥
Translation
O King (Prince)! We never have any fear caused by the gods. But there is a fear from humans that is oppressing us tumultuously.
हिंदी अनुवाद
हे राजन! हमें देवताओं की ओर से कभी भी कोई भय नहीं है। (परन्तु) हमें मनुष्यों से भय है, जो हम सबको भीषण रूप से पीड़ित कर रहा है।
English Commentary
Yupaksha highlights the irony of Ravana's boon. The Rakshasas are invincible against divine beings ('daiva-kritam'), yet they are currently being crushed by a 'human threat'. Addressing Kumbhakarna as 'Rajan' (King/Prince), the minister admits that the very species they underestimated has become their existential threat. This lays the groundwork for explaining Shri Rama's prowess.

यूपाक्ष सीधे मुद्दे पर आता है। वह रावण के वरदान की विडंबना को उजागर करता है। रावण ने देवताओं और दानवों से अभय का वरदान माँगा था, किन्तु मनुष्यों को तुच्छ समझकर छोड़ दिया था। अब वही 'तुच्छ' मनुष्य (श्री राम) उनके लिए 'तुमुलं भयम्' (भीषण भय) का कारण बन गए हैं। यह अहंकार के परिणाम का स्पष्टीकरण है।
