Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
राक्षसांस्तर्पयिष्यामि हरीणां मांसशोणितैः ।
रामलक्ष्मणयोश्चापि स्वयं पास्यामि शोणितम् ॥६-६०-८१॥
rākṣasāṃstarpayiṣyāmi harīṇāṃ māṃsaśoṇitaiḥ |
rāmalakṣmaṇayoścāpi svayaṃ pāsyāmi śoṇitam ॥6-60-81॥
Translation
I shall satisfy the Rakshasas with the flesh and blood of the monkeys, and I shall drink the blood of Shri Rama and Lakshmana myself.
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं वानरों के मांस और खून से राक्षसों को तृप्त करूँगा और श्री राम-लक्ष्मण का खून मैं स्वयं पिऊँगा।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna reverts to his primal Rakshasa nature. The imagery is gruesome, promising a feast of flesh and blood for his kin. By reserving the blood of the princes for himself, he marks them as his personal prey. This declaration is meant to instill terror and reassure his allies of his terrifying intent.

यह श्लोक कुम्भकर्ण के तामसिक और राक्षसी स्वरूप को प्रकट करता है। यहाँ 'रौद्र' और 'वीभत्स' रस का मिश्रण है। वह युद्ध को एक भोज (feast) के रूप में देखता है। श्री राम और लक्ष्मण का रक्त पीने की प्रतिज्ञा उसके क्रोध की चरम सीमा और शत्रु के प्रति घृणा को दर्शाती है।
