तत्तस्य वाक्यं ब्रुवतो निशम्य सगर्वितं रोषविवृद्धदोषम् ।
महोदरो नैर्ऋतयोधमुख्यः कृताञ्जलिर्वाक्यमिदं बभाषे ॥६-६०-८२॥
tattasya vākyaṃ bruvato niśamya sagarvitaṃ roṣavivṛddhadoṣam |
mahodaro nairṛtayodhamukhyaḥ kṛtāñjalirvākyamidam babhāṣe ॥6-60-82॥
Translation
Hearing those words of his, which were full of pride and flawed due to increased anger, Mahodara, the chief warrior of the Rakshasas, spoke with folded hands.

उसके उस गर्वयुक्त और रोष (क्रोध) के कारण बढ़े हुए दोष (अविवेक) वाले वचनों को सुनकर, राक्षसी सेना के मुख्य योद्धा महोदर ने हाथ जोड़कर यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
Mahodara, a senior general, intervenes. He recognizes that Kumbhakarna's plan is driven by 'rosha' (anger) and 'garva' (pride) rather than strategy, leading to 'dosha' (flaw/error). Blind rage is a weakness in war. Mahodara acts as the voice of reason, respectfully attempting to channel Kumbhakarna's energy through the proper chain of command.

एक अन्य मंत्री, महोदर, कुम्भकर्ण की बातों में 'दोष' (अविवेक) देखता है। क्रोध और गर्व में व्यक्ति सही निर्णय नहीं ले पाता। महोदर समझदार है; वह जानता है कि बिना रणनीति और राजा की आज्ञा के युद्ध में कूदना मूर्खता है। वह अत्यंत विनम्रता ('कृताञ्जलि') से उसे टोकता है।
