एवं प्रजा यदि त्वेष भक्षयिष्यति नित्यशः ।
अचिरेणैव कालेन शून्यो लोको भविष्यति ॥६-६१-२१॥
evaṃ prajā yadi tveṣa bhakṣayiṣyati nityaśaḥ |
acireṇaiva kālena śūnyo loko bhaviṣyati ॥6-61-21॥
Translation
If he continues to devour the subjects daily in this manner, in a very short time, the world will become void of living beings.
हिंदी अनुवाद
यदि यह इसी प्रकार प्रतिदिन प्रजा को खाता रहेगा, तो बहुत ही कम समय में यह लोक शून्य (प्राणीहीन) हो जाएगा।
English Commentary
This verse highlights the existential crisis posed by Kumbhakarna. His hunger was not merely a personal appetite but was causing the destruction of entire humanity. The primary reason for seeking Lord Brahma's help was that the very cycle of creation was on the verge of stopping. It portrays the limit of unrighteousness where it begins to swallow creation itself.

यह श्लोक कुम्भकर्ण द्वारा उत्पन्न अस्तित्वगत संकट को दर्शाता है। उसकी भूख केवल एक व्यक्ति की तृप्ति नहीं थी, बल्कि सम्पूर्ण मानवता के विनाश का कारण बन रही थी। ब्रह्मा जी के पास जाने का यह सबसे बड़ा कारण था कि सृष्टि का चक्र ही रुकने की कगार पर था। यह अधर्म की उस सीमा का चित्रण है जहाँ वह सम्पूर्ण सृजन को ही निगलने लगता है।
