ततो गवाक्षः शरभो हनुमानङ्गदस्तथा ।
शैलशृङ्गाणि शैलाभा गृहीत्वा द्वारमभ्ययुः ॥६-६१-३८॥
tato gavākṣaḥ śarabho hanumānaṅgadastathā |
śailaśṛṅgāṇi śailābhā gṛhītvā dvāramabhyayuḥ ॥6-61-38॥
Translation
Thereafter, Gavaksha, Sharabha, Hanuman, and Angada, who themselves resembled mountains, took up mountain peaks and advanced toward the gate.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तत्पश्चात पर्वत के समान कांति वाले गवाक्ष, शरभ, हनुमान और अंगद पर्वत के शिखरों को लेकर (लंका के) द्वार की ओर बढ़े।
English Commentary
The primary pillars of the Vanara army are mentioned here. The presence of Gavaksha, Sharabha, Hanuman, and Angada in the frontline ensures a powerful assault. The epithet 'shailabha' (resembling mountains) illustrates the symmetry between the heroes and the peaks they carry. This is a living manifestation of valor.
