सो ऽभिगम्य गृहं भ्रातुः कक्ष्यामभिविगाह्य च ।
ददर्शोद्विग्नमासीनं विमाने पुष्पके गुरुम् ॥६-६२-६॥
so'bhigamya gṛhaṃ bhrātuḥ kakṣyāmabhivigāhya ca |
dadarśodvignamāsīnaṃ vimāne puṣpake gurum ॥6-62-6॥
Translation
Having reached his brother's house and passing through the inner chambers, he saw his mentor (elder brother) seated in the Pushpaka Vimana, full of anxiety.
हिंदी अनुवाद
भाई के घर पहुँचकर और (आंतरिक) कक्षों को पार करके, उसने अपने गुरु (बड़े भाई) को पुष्पक विमान में उद्विग्न (चिंतित) अवस्था में बैठे हुए देखा।
English Commentary
Kumbhakarna navigates the palace to find Ravana seated in the legendary Pushpaka Vimana. However, the mood is somber. Ravana is 'udvignam' (anxious/disturbed). This visual cue immediately informs Kumbhakarna of the gravity of the situation. Seeing his 'Guru' (mentor/elder) in distress triggers his protective instincts.

रावण का सिंहासन पुष्पक विमान में था। कुम्भकर्ण ने देखा कि उसका भाई 'उद्विग्नम्' (बेचैन/चिंतित) है। रावण जैसा महाप्रतापी राजा यदि चिंतित है, तो स्थिति निश्चित रूप से गंभीर है। 'गुरुम्' शब्द का प्रयोग रावण के प्रति कुम्भकर्ण की श्रद्धा को दिखाता है। बाहरी तड़क-भड़क के बावजूद, रावण की मानसिक स्थिति दयनीय थी।
