अस्मिन् काले तु यद्युक्तं तदिदानीं विधीयताम् ।
गतं तु नानुशोचन्ति गतं तु गतमेव हि ॥६-६३-२५॥
asmin kāle tu yadyuktaṃ tadidānīṃ vidhīyatām |
gataṃ tu nānuśocanti gataṃ tu gatameva hi ॥6-63-25॥
Translation
Whatever is appropriate at this time, let that be done now. Wise men do not grieve for the past, for what is gone is indeed gone.
हिंदी अनुवाद
इस समय जो उचित हो, अब वही किया जाए। बीती बात का शोक नहीं करते, क्योंकि जो बीत गया, वह बीत ही गया।
English Commentary
Ravana reminds Kumbhakarna of the 'present' (war). This is a warrior's perspective—the time for review is over, now is the time for action.
