शीघ्रं खल्वभ्युपेतं त्वां फलं पापस्य कर्मणः ।
निरयेष्वेव पतनं यथा दुष्कृतकर्मणः ॥६-६३-३॥
śīghraṃ khalvabhyupetaṃ tvāṃ phalaṃ pāpasya karmaṇaḥ |
nirayeṣveva patanaṃ yathā duṣkṛtakarmaṇaḥ ॥6-63-3॥
Translation
Indeed, the fruit of your sinful action has come to you quickly, just as the descent into hell is certain for one who performs evil deeds.
हिंदी अनुवाद
निश्चय ही पाप कर्म का फल तुम्हें शीघ्र ही प्राप्त हो गया है, जैसे दुष्कर्म करने वाले का नरक में गिरना (निश्चित और शीघ्र होता है)।
English Commentary
This asserts the doctrine of Karma. Kumbhakarna explicitly states that the abduction of Sita was a 'sinful action'. The suffering Ravana faces is not a coincidence but the immediate consequence of his adharma.

यहाँ कर्मफल के सिद्धांत का प्रतिपादन है। कुम्भकर्ण स्पष्ट रूप से कहता है कि सीता का हरण एक 'पाप कर्म' था। रावण को जो कष्ट मिल रहा है, वह कोई संयोग नहीं, बल्कि उसके अधर्म का तत्काल परिणाम है।
